To hit this criterion I chose to play the small business game, that is designed in order to give people a feel of what it would be like to run their own business. They give you a plethora of information that can be used in order to make your business more successful.
To start with I used the getting started guide that they give you within the hints section of the website, This told me the sort of things I should do to get the business of the ground and start selling stock. It stated that you should get some marketing in the shop window and try and pre-order the new kit that is available at the start of the game as people will put in orders for them as n to Meany stores will choose to have them available for pre-order this would give you an initial burst of customers. After completing this I went of my own back and checked things like the profit loss reports to work out where I am making the most money and where I am loosing money so I can optimise my outgoings. As I stated at the end of this report I thought that would my profits would increase if I played one more week so out of curiosity I checked the next week to see what the profits would be and they ended up at +£9000 which took my overall score up to 9756. This shows that I used the information that I was given properly to increase my own profits 10 fold in a very short period of time.
